How is EVFT Different than Normal Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation?

Surgeons have struggled for years to get consistent results with fat transfer either to the breasts or to the buttock (Brazilian Buttock Lift or BBL). The unpredictable fat graft take makes it difficult to precisely estimate the size enhancement. This can lead to less than ideal shape or size, and patients seeking a large amount of volume can often need for multiple procedures

General experience shows that fat graft retention ranges from 30-60% – so sometimes more than half of the fat that’s transferred is lost! Many technologies have been introduced in attempts to improve these numbers, but there is currently no absolute standard on how to take, clean, process, and insert fat – essentially none of these other technologies have shown to have a significant impact on fat graft take.

The key to this revolutionary system is AuraClens. AuraClens is a patented, FDA approved wash that is able to clean the fat graft and improve its quality and take. If you’d like to know the details – it contains a molecule called P188, which is a surfactant poloxamer that stabilizes fat cell membranes (the outer shell of the cells). In a peer-reviewed publication from the laboratories of the Massachusetts General Hospital, p188 was shown to increase fat survival at 6 weeks from 33% to 89%! This nearly 3x increase in survival was observed during the time frame when the fat “takes” in the body. Will there be scarring?

The access sites are minimal and about the size of a small freckle. Oren Tessler, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon serving the Phoenix area.
